In this paper, as a starting point for our research, a brief discussion on the main challenges of digital transformation in HEIs is presented.

- Key enterprise architecture value drivers: results of a Delphi StudyPublication . Rodrigues, Luis Silva; Amaral, LuisThe value of Enterprise Architectures is undoubtedly an issue that is of particular importance in organizations. In the current context of strong economic constraints and the need to justify the usefulness and investments on Enterprise Architectures are increasingly demanding an assessment and demonstration of its value. However, it is recognized that assessing and demonstrating the value of Enterprise Architecture is not an easy task. In our view, the lack of a clear understanding on what is important for Enterprise Architecture value assessment, the intangible nature of some benefits and the need to quickly demonstrate the Enterprise Architecture value are some of the main reasons for this difficulty. This article presents the results of an international Delphi study involving 63 experts which main objective was to identify, systemize and prioritize the key value drivers of the Enterprise Architecture.

Oliveira, Dalbert Marques; Miranda, Patrícia; Rodrigues, Luis Silva; Braga, InêsThis paper describes how Information Professional manages information during a content curation process through WhatsApp Business (WB) to ensure that information transmitted, individually or in groups, is current, true and verifiable. Such an approach is justified by the great importance that information currently assumes, the increasingly common practice of information exchange through dialogues, online, by peers or groups and the danger that false and / or wrong information may cause to individuals and / or groups. The Information Professional, as a group curator at WB, is in touch with new challenges and opportunities. Among these challenges, it is possible to cite issues related to the information life cycle, especially regarding its verifiability and obsolescence. With respect to opportunities, the Information Professional will be the information facilitator as an important asset capable of enriching the lives of individuals or groups. The purpose of this paper is to address various aspects of this curation process, taking advantage of a real case of curating information about Portugal for individuals interested in the country. In this work it was possible to verify that the curation process can be facilitated with the knowledge and application of several free technologies, available online, which help in the verifiability and timeliness of the transmitted information, as well as the WB tools themselves.

E ainda buscar-se-á a síntese entre esses dois referenciais num quadro amplo que englobe as paridades e diferenças entre eles.

- Key dimensions of the enterprise architecture value drivers: time frame and quantificationPublication . Rodrigues, Luis Silva; Amaral, LuisOne of biggest issues that the managers of the Enterprise Architecture projects are facing is to justify the investments made in its construction and maintenance. Assessing the value of Enterprise Architectures is an increasingly important issue, however, it is not an easy task. Firstly, it is widely accepted that is very difficult for the organizations to identify the key value drivers. In addition, there are two dimensions of the value drivers that strongly influence the assessment of the Enterprise Architectures value: the time needed to realize the value drivers (time frame dimension) and the quantification of the value driver impact in the organization (quantification dimension). In this short paper is presented an initial discussion about the importance of these two dimensions in the assessment of Enterprise Architecture value.

Oliveira, Dalbert Marques; Rodrigues, Luis SilvaOs Conhecimentos, as Habilidades, as Competências e as Aptidões dos profissionais da informação são conceitos amplamente discutidos na literatura, quer em trabalhos académicos, quer em referenciais profissionais, sendo que o termo ‘profissional da informação’, não raramente, é utilizado na literatura de uma forma abrangente. Pese embora os trabalhos publicados, constata-se a existência de diferenças entre os conceitos e a sua aplicação, principalmente quando se analisam trabalhos de autores de diferentes países e de diferentes correntes. A finalidade do trabalho de investigação em curso é a de averiguar se existem diferenças no que se refere aos principais Conhecimentos, Habilidades, Competências e Aptidões dos profissionais da informação, percecionados quer por profissionais portugueses, quer por profissionais brasileiros, na perspetiva da Ciência da Informação. Neste artigo, é apresentada uma discussão sobre os principais conceitos relacionados com os profissionais de informação, bem como uma breve descrição do trabalho de investigação que se pretende realizar.

However, given the complexity and costs associated with building an Enterprise Architecture, there is a growing need to demonstrate the importance and usefulness in terms of the value that it represents to an organization. Without an adequate justification for the investment in Enterprise Architecture projects, organizations either do not to start or tend to abandon their Enterprise Architectures. In this paper, we present the stakeholders perspectives on two key dimensions of the Enterprise Architectures benefits/value drivers: the time horizon (time needed for the realization of the benefits) and its quantification (measurement of the realization of the benefits). In our view, these two dimensions are fundamental to realize how much effort will be required to assess the value of an Enterprise Architecture.
