Abstract(s)
Hearing loss can be diagnosed through a battery of quantitative tests, electrophysiologic, acumetric and audiometric exams, which allow a quantitative evaluation and topodiagnosis. Quantitative assessment uses tools such as the Early Listening Function questionnaire, developed by Anderson. Unlike quantitative tests, it is not intended to be a diagnostic tool but an affordable, simple way to be used by caregivers of children from 4 months to 3 years of age, making it possible to obtain information about how the child hears in their daily lives. ELF is based on 12 auditory activities with different intensities, in both silence and noise.
