Diante dos desafios enfrentados por professores das escolas da rede
pública, no que diz respeito à usabilidade dos laboratórios de informática
disponibilizados pelo governo Federal, através do ProInfo em todo o Brasil,
objetivamos conhecer as razões da não acessibilidade e usabilidade desses
laboratórios em duas escolas da rede municipal do Município de Grajaú –
Estado do Maranhão. Para tanto, utilizamos um quadro teórico, em que se
incluem autores de renome nacional e internacional, e recorremos a uma
metodologia de cunho qualitativo, no formato de estudo de caso, com vistas a
encontrar respostas aos nossos objetivos. Concluímos que a não
acessibilidade e usabilidade aos laboratórios de informática instalados nas
escolas do município de Grajaú-MA é decorrente do não reconhecimento por
parte da equipe gestora dos benefícios que as TIC agregam ao processo
educativo, a baixa qualificação dos quadros professorais, que se traduzem em
distanciamento dos laboratórios de informática e a ausência de apoio por
parte da Secretaria Municipal de Educação. Os sujeitos implicados no
contexto parecem não reconhecer a importância do paradigma tecnológico
como uma ferramenta que potencia aprendizagens significativas nas escolas
municipais.
Faced with the challenges faced by teachers in public schools, with regard to the usability of computer labs provided by the Federal Government, through the ProInfo in Brazil, aimed to know the reasons for non-accessibility and usability of these labs in two schools municipal of the Municipality of Grajaú - State of Maranhao. Therefore, we use a theoretical framework, which include national and internationally renowned authors, and resorted to a qualitative methodology in case study format, with a view to finding answers to our goals. We conclude that the non-accessibility and usability to computer labs installed in schools in the municipality of Grajaú-MA is due to the nonrecognition by the management team of the benefits that ICT add to the educational process, the low qualification of professorial tables that translate in distancing of computer labs and the lack of support from the City Department of Education. The subjects involved in the context does not seem to recognize the importance of technological paradigm as a tool that enhances meaningful learning in public schools.
