Abstract(s)
This report emerges a community devopment project, concerning a Masters in Education and Social Intervention, specializing in Community Development and Adult Education, based on a Participatory Investigation‐Action methodology. This project aims to promote an active ageing for elderly adults who attend “Intergenerational Workshops”, from the Local Contract of Social Development in Baião, in order to bring out the best in each of them. Thus, community development, lifelong adult education and socioeducational animation assumptions have been mobilized, which has allowed the investigator to inform and guide his intervention. Nevertheless, this intervention project counted on the social agents’ own voice, that have elucidated the investigator’s motivations and possible conditioning reasons for the participation. This way they have also cooperated in the construction of the project itself, being protagonist of this intervention. Therefore, there has been a holistic approach of reality, always trying to do an information triangulation, in order to obtain the expected social transformation.
