Abstract(s)
Este projeto tem como principal objetivo analisar as principais funcionalidades de uma
Dash board (DB) para uma unidade hoteleira, utilizando Business Intelligence e
aplicando esta tecnologia a diversos departamentos, de modo a compreender onde será
melhor desenvolvida. Esta é uma ferramenta que ajuda a planear e analisar dados para
o apoio na gestão empresarial. Neste sentido, e necessário projetar as funcionalidades
do sistema, aplicado a cada departamento, verificar as fontes de informação utilizadas
para cada secção e criar os recursos de informação agregada por atividade em cada um
deles.
A tecnologia é cada vez mais utilizada no setor hoteleiro, sendo, por vezes, mais
direcionada para os clientes do que para os colaboradores. Como comprova Yee,
Yeung, & Edwin Cheng (2010), os sistemas de medição de performance computacional
estão relacionados com a lealdade dos empregados, com a qualidade do serviço
prestado, com a satisfação do cliente e com o rendimento da empresa.
Com isto, pretende-se que a utilidade deste tipo de equipamentos de gestão de
performance seja expandida aos colaboradores, para que os mesmos sejam auxiliados
por novas ferramentas de trabalho e, desta forma, atinjam os objetivos definidos e
alcancem o sucesso.
Será do interesse das organizações, com o desenvolvimento do mundo eletrónico,
acompanhar este crescimento tecnológico de forma continua e adaptar as suas
necessidades organizacionais para que todos os colaboradores beneficiem com a
gestão interna da empresa.
Para obter toda a informação necessária para o projeto, foram realizadas entrevistas
aos diretores departamentais, de forma a entender quais seriam os departamentos
onde este tipo de plataforma seria melhor implementada.
Esta plataforma digital potencia melhorias na produtividade, controlo e apoio a gestão
pelos administradores, permitindo atingir níveis de rendimento superiores aos
registados no passado.
The following Work Project aims to investigate the main functions of a dash board for a hotel unit, setting them for all the departments involved in this study and to understand its usefulness. It is a tool that helps to plan and analyze data to improve the management of a certain company. It will be necessary to develop the functionalities of the system to every department. Technology has been increasingly used in the hotel sector being more targeted to the customers than to the employees. According to Yee, Yeung, & Edwin Cheng (2010) the systems of measurement of computer performance are related to the loyalty of the employees, to the quality of the assistance provided, to the satisfaction of the clients, as well as to the profit of the company influencing each other. it should be for everyone’s interest that this kind of equipment would be expanded to the employees as well. It should be useful for them to use this type of technology in their everyday tasks reaching their goals and providing more profit to the company, by successfully developing their chores. The constant and fast developing of technology should lead hotels to adjust their organizational needs and industry growth to the benefit of the company management. To obtain all the information needed the directors of the departments involved in this study were interviewed in order to understand in which sections of the hotel this system could be introduced as a useful tool. This digital platform allows better productivity, control and support to management to directors, allowing them to reach higher levels of income than the ones registered before.
