ensaios compilados na obra The Cambridge Companion to Chekhov, editada por Vera
na sua obra Comparative Stylistics of French and English / A methodology for translation.
Susan Bassnett.

A special place in this report is reserved for analysing the problems and difficulties that arose during the process of translating the play, as well as duly indicating and justifying the solutions found. The methodology followed in both the translation and analysis processes is based on the theoretical principles developed and presented by Jean-Paul Vinay and Jean Darbelnet in their work Comparative Stylistics of French and English / A methodology for translation. At the same time, the concepts of equivalence proposed by Peter Newmark, as well as specific approaches to theatre translation developed by Jiří Levý and Susan Bassnett have also been drawn on.
