A Casa da Arquitectura - Centro Português de Arquitectura teve um enorme crescimento e afirmação no panorama cultural português nos últimos anos. Apresenta-se como a única instituição cultural dedicada em exclusivo à arquitetura em Portugal. Partindo da minha experiência como produtora da equipa da Casa da Arquitectura, pretendo fazer uma reflexão sobre a criação e desenvolvimento de uma entidade cultural e do papel da Produção neste processo, identificando fases e desafios que enfrenta. Esta dissertação tem por base o relato do meu percurso, bem como o testemunho de quatro figuras fundamentais na criação desta instituição. Para além da história da instituição, descrevo os processos de produção associados ao meu trabalho e seleciono dois exemplos ilustrativos.
Casa da Arquitectura - Portuguese Center for Architecture has had a huge growth and affirmation in the Portuguese cultural panorama in recent years. It presents itself as the only cultural institution dedicated exclusively to architecture in Portugal. Based on my experience as a producer on Casa da Arquitectura, I intend to reflect on the creation and development of a cultural entity and the role of Production in this process, identifying phases and challenges it faces. This paper is based on the description of my professional experience, as well as the testimony of four key figures in the creation of this institution. In addition to the institution's history, I describe the production processes associated with my work and select two illustrative examples.
