O setor hoteleiro tem sofrido grandes mudanças ao longos dos anos. Atualmente a
elevada procura obriga a uma dinamização e diversificação do setor de hotelaria e
turismo e face a isso, existem cada vez mais hotéis no mercado português.
Apesar da procura por hotéis alojados em edifícios históricos se verificar como uma
tendência, ]a são poucos os hotéis que têm mantido a sua historia e traça antiga ao longo
dos anos.
Neste trabalho, será analisado, de que forma a história dos hotéis e um fator que
influencia os clientes a escolher essas unidades hoteleiras em detrimento de outras.
O presente trabalho é resultado do estágio no Grande Hotel do Porto, mais
concretamente no departamento de Compras e Economato, que teve a duração de seis
meses, de setembro d e 2021 a março de 2022. Para além do estágio, foi realizada uma
investigação para dar resposta ao estudo em causa, cujo tema é “A influência da história
na escolha de hotéis por parte dos clientes: Estudo aplicado ao Grande Hotel do Porto”.
The hotel industry has undergone major changes over the years. Currently, the high demand requires a dynamization and diversification of the hotel and tourism sector and, in view of this, there are more and more hotels in the Portuguese market. Although the demand lor hotels housed in buildings is a trend, there are few hotels that have maintained their history and ancient design over the years. In this work, it will be analyzed how the history of hotels is a factor that iniluences customers to choose these hotels over others. The present work is the result of the internship at the Grande Hotel do Porto, more specifically in the Purchasing and Storage department, which lasted six months, from September 2021 to March 2022. in addition to the internship, an investigation was carn'ed out to give response to the study in question, whose theme is "The influence of history in the choice of hotels bycustomers: Study applied to the Grande Hotel do Porto”.
