Abstract(s)
In an increasingly demanding and competitive economic context, optimizing internal processes plays a crucial role in the success of organizations. In this context, the main objective of this dissertation was to improve the stock management system of France Air Portugal, a company operating in the HVAC sector. The motivation for this project came from the identification of failures and inefficiencies in product management, which were compromising the company’s responsiveness and increasing operational costs. To address these issues, a project was developed based on the application of stock management models such as EOQ, ABC Analysis and the Just in Time method. In parallel, the 5S methodology and Visual Management tools were implemented in the company’s warehouse to improve the organization, accessibility and safety of the products. The practical application of these techniques led to a reduction in stockouts and increased efficiency in logistics processes. Positive impacts were also observed in productivity and team motivation, reinforcing the importance of continuous improvement in enhancing the company's competitiveness.
