Abstract(s)

O presente relatório tem como objetivo apresentar o trabalho que foi realizado ao longo do estágio curricular inserido no Mestrado de Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas (MTIE) do Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto. Este teve a duração de quatro meses e meio e foi realizado presencialmente na empresa RWS. Inicialmente, irá ser apresentada a empresa, o seu método de trabalho e as equipas que fazem parte do escritório que integrei. De seguida, serão apresentadas as várias tarefas que foram realizadas, assim como os maiores desafios e dificuldades encontrados no decorrer do estágio e como é que estes foram superadas ao longo do tempo e com a ajuda da equipa. Para finalizar, o trabalho realizado será relacionado com teoria, analisando a tradução automática e a pós-edição e como é que estas têm diferentes impactos consoante o tipo de texto a que são aplicadas.

The following report aims to present all the work performed during the curricular internship at the end of the master’s degree of Specialized Translation and Interpretation (MTIE) at ISCAP. This internship had the duration of four and a half months, and it was carried out at RWS. Firstly, it’ll be presented the company and its ethics, along with the workflow and all the different teams that are a part of the Porto office. Secondly, the various tasks I performed during the internship will be described, as well as all the challenges faced and how they were overcome with the help of the team. In the final chapter, it will be presented some theoretical points of views, which will correlate with the work carried out throughout the internship.
