O presente Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Design da Escola Superior de
Media Artes e Design é o registo e a reflexão crítica da minha experiência nos diferentes
estágios curriculares que fiz no último ano nomeadamente: no Atelier Victor Bertier,
sediado na Figueira da Foz, de 20 de novembro de 2020 a 22 de janeiro de 2021, e
Uniíssima Home Couture/Comopi Kitchen Design, sediada em Soure, de 17 de fevereiro
a 31 de maio de 2021.
O Atelier Victor Bertier é uma empresa de pequena dimensão, com projetos de
interiores em diferentes setores. A Uníssima Home Couture/Comopi Kitchen Design é
uma empresa dedicada à produção de mobiliário de interiores e cozinhas. Os dois
estágios foram experiências ímpares, por quanto possibilitaram a prática profissional em
projeto e produção industrial, em diferentes sectores do design, desde o design industrial,
passando pelo design de mobiliário, até ao design de interiores. Estes estágios
constituíram uma experiência enriquecedora como profissional, nas quais tive a
oportunidade de, dentro da área do design de interiores e espaços, experimentar
vertentes completamente diferente, fazendo projetos de interiores, e também pensar
com processos industriais, para produção em série de alguns produtos das da marcas de
ambas as empresas, a Atelier Victor Bertier e a Uníssima Home. Sem deixar de lado a
vertente, quem sabe mais conhecida do design de interiores e espaços, que está
popularmente vinculada à decoração, seleção e compra de materiais, texturas, entre
outros. Também executei tarefas mais administrativas, como compras e encomendas de
produtos, fazer orçamentos, levantamentos, além de gestão da equipa de trabalho.
O presente relatório é o registo sequencial dos trabalhos desenvolvidos, ao longo
de seis meses, nos estágios, evidenciando sempre a linha tênue que há entre essas três
ramas do design, mas que sempre estão a complementar-se e interatuando de forma
quase que impercetível, entre o design de interiores e espaços, a decoração e o design
industrial.
This Design Master Internship Report from School of Media Arts and Design is the record and critical reflection of my experience on each internship that I have been through the last year, namely: at Atelier Victor Bertier, based in Figueira da Foz, from November 20, 2020 until January 22, 2021, and at Uníssima Home Couture/Comopi Kitchen Design, based in Soure, from February 17 to May 31, 2021. The Atelier Victor Bertier is a small company, that works with different sectors of interior design projects. The company Uníssima Home Couture/Comopi Kitchen Design is focused on interior and kitchen furniture production. Both internship experiences were unique, as they enabled professional practice in industrial design and production. It was also valuable in different design sectors, like industrial design, furniture design, and interior design. These two internships led me to a rich experience as a design professional in different ways. I had the opportunity, within the interior design area, to experiment completely different aspects of design, by doing interior projects, and also think about the industrial processes of some products for the brands of both companies, Atelier Victor Bertier and Uníssima Home. All of it without leaving aside the aspect, perhaps best known of interior and space design, which is popularly linked to decoration, the selection and purchase of materials, textures, among others. Also in both experiences I was able to perform more administrative tasks, such as purchasing and ordering products, control budgets, surveys, as well as managing the work team. This report is about the record of the developed work I have done over six months, in each internship I have been into. In this report, I always intend to highlight the fine line that exists between these three branches of design, which are always complementing and interacting in an almost unnoticeable way, between interior and space design, decoration and industrial design.
