Espetáculo do Politécnico do Porto.
pudemos observar.
This document intends to reflect the practice of the teaching carried out during this academic year Music Education, Music Theory branch, fostered by a partnership between the School of Education and the School of Music and Performing Arts of the Polytechnic of Porto. It is presented in three chapters: i) Music Theory in the Vila do Conde Music Conservatory; ii) The Supervised practice of Teaching; III) A Performative Music Theory. In the first and second chapters, we present our centre of internship, where we focus on the subject of Music Theory and on what we can observe in it. Subsequently, we will show the importance of Planning, Reflection and Evaluation in our teaching. The third chapter focuses on the research project as a pedagogic proposal towards the practice of the Music Theory teaching. The proposal to teach Music Theory using musical performance as a strategy both inside and outside the classroom emerges when considering the low levels of motivation of the students and the low visibility of the subject.
