O papel das bibliotecas escolares digitais: revisão sistemática da literatura

| dc.description.abstract | A crescente utilização das tecnologias de informação digitais no contexto das aprendizagens escolares leva o sistema educativo a procurar novas abordagens pedagógicas e didáticas que se afastem da rigidez teórica dos modelos tradicionais, promovendo a flexibilidade, aprendizagem inclusiva e inovação. Externamente a sociedade endossa às escolas a exigência do sucesso educativo dos alunos como garante de competências necessárias para enfrentar a competitividade social e profissional. As bibliotecas escolares, como serviço fulcral na vida escolar, pretendem incorporar de forma eficiente as tecnologias de informação potenciando o acesso e difusão da informação em todas as áreas das curriculares mantendo-se como referência e, simultaneamente, capacitar os alunos na utilização das tecnologias digitais. O desafio das bibliotecas escolares consiste em articular a gestão de recursos tradicionais e digitais, mobilizando as tecnologias adequadas às necessidades informacionais da escola, mantendo-se de referência e inovação na escola do século XXI. Este estudo pretende conhecer o impacto das tecnologias digitais nas bibliotecas escolares de todos os níveis de ensino com exceção do ensino superior. A pesquisa centra-se na forma como as bibliotecas escolares e as escolas recorrem à tecnologia digital para responder aos desafios informacionais, melhorar o acesso à informação e promover aprendizagens. Recorreu-se à metodologia da Revisão Sistemática da Literatura (RSL). Para o efeito, foi consultada a base de dados Web of Science para pesquisa de artigos científicos entre 2012 e 2024, seguindo os critérios de inclusão e exclusão definidos para a RSL. Foram definidos o objetivo geral: investigar o papel das bibliotecas escolares digitais no contexto educativo, identificando os contributos, desafios e expetativas no processo de ensino-aprendizagem e cinco objetivos específicos relacionados com os desafios e expetativas no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Como resultados principais da análise dos artigos, foram identificadas várias áreas temáticas: Tecnologias digitais; Inclusão e equidade; Aprendizagens e competências; Educação e Currículo; Sociedade e Cultura; Comunidade e Parcerias; Outros temas como o impacto da pandemia COVID-19 na difusão das tecnologias digitais e na luta das comunidades LGBTQIA+ e Queer. | dc.description.abstract | The increasing use of digital information technologies in the context of school learning leads the educational system to seek new pedagogical and didactic approaches that move away from the theoretical rigidity of traditional models, promoting flexibility, inclusive learning, and innovation. Externally, society endorses the demand for educational success from students as a guarantee of the necessary skills to face social and professional competitiveness. School libraries, as a crucial service in school life, aim to efficiently incorporate information technologies, enhancing access to and dissemination of information in all curricular areas, maintaining their position as a reference point and, simultaneously, empowering students in the use of digital technologies. The challenge for school libraries is to articulate the management of traditional and digital resources, mobilizing technologies appropriate to the informational needs of the school, while remaining a reference point and an innovator in the 21st-century school. This study aims to understand the impact of digital technologies on school libraries at all levels of education, except for higher education. The research focuses on how school libraries and schools use digital technology to address informational challenges, improve access to information, and promote learning. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology was used. To this end, the Web of Science database was consulted to search for scientific articles between 2012 and 2024, following the inclusion and exclusion criteria defined for the SLR. The general objective was defined as: to investigate the role of digital school libraries in the educational context, identifying the contributions, challenges, and expectations in the teaching-learning process, and five specific objectives related to the challenges and expectations in the teaching-learning process. As main results of the analysis of the articles, several thematic areas were identified: Digital technologies; Inclusion and equity; Learning and skills; Education and Curriculum; Society and Culture; Community and Partnerships; Other themes such as the impact of the COVID - 19 pandemic on the diffusion of digital technologies and on the struggle of LGBTQIA+ and Queer communities. | eng |
