Abstract(s)
promoting and disseminating the most diverse activities of the Institution, they provide knowledge and growth not only to its students and servants, but also to all those interested in participating in these events. However, events can go further, presenting the institutional identity of the place that promotes them, which is a great challenge and a goal of considerable importance. Based on this conceptualization, this dissertation aimed to analyze if the events of the Institute Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás (IFG) contribute to the construction and enhancement of its identity, image and reputation. This investigation took the form of Case Study and the events that occurred in the last three years in the IFG, specifically in Campus Goiânia the essence of the study. The methodology used in this study was based on documentary analysis and the application and analysis of interviews and questionnaires with the internal community of this Campus. As a result of this study it was possible to understand the importance of events to create a positive image and the need to work this area as a strategic component of organizational identity. The results also reveal that the lack of autonomy, participation and clarity in the PR professional's assignments during the absence of an explicit statement of mission and vision represent challenges and limitations to an expanded impact of events on the image of the organization. We believe that the results presented are relevant not only to the managers of the Institution, but also to all the servers and students that compose, organize and participate in the events, as they collaborate to strengthen the IFG, in order to provide recognition and growth of the Institution in an integrated way.
