Este relatório de estágio apresenta uma análise detalhada das atividades desenvolvidas
durante o estágio curricular no Museu dos Transportes e Comunicações, situado na
Alfândega do Porto, integrado no âmbito do Mestrado em Gestão das Organizações Ramo
Gestão Pública. Esta experiência proporcionou uma aplicação direta dos conhecimentos
teóricos adquiridos ao longo do curso, incidindo principalmente sobre a Gestão Cultural.
O estágio foi desenvolvido ao longo de três fases distintas: conhecimento,
acompanhamento/ observação, e execução. Esta estrutura permitiu uma evolução
progressiva no entendimento e na prática de gestão das atividades museológicas,
facilitando não apenas a adaptação ao ambiente institucional como também permitiu a
ligação entre a teoria e a prática.
Durante o estágio, foi essencial adaptar as competências académicas às necessidades
específicas do museu, promovendo uma melhor perceção dos desafios atuais da gestão
cultural. Este processo incluiu a participação em tarefas que variavam desde a
organização e planeamento do programa educativo até à gestão e comunicação com
diversos públicos, para um entendimento mais abrangente do funcionamento do museu.
Este relatório não só descreve e analisa as atividades desenvolvidas, como também reflete
sobre a forma como estas contribuíram significativamente para o crescimento académico
e profissional. Este estágio evidenciou a relevância da gestão cultural competente e
adaptativa, fundamental para o sucesso e sustentabilidade de instituições culturais na
atualidade.
This internship report presents a detailed analysis of the activities carried out during the curricular internship at the Museum of Transport and Communications, located in Alfândega do Porto, as part of the Master's Degree in Organizational Management, in the field of Public Management. This experience provided a direct application of the theoretical knowledge acquired during the course, focusing mainly on Cultural Management. The internship was developed over three distinct phases: knowledge, monitoring/observation and execution. This structure allowed for a progressive evolution in the understanding and practice of managing museum activities, facilitating not only the adaptation to the institutional environment but also the link between theory and practice. During the internship, it was essential to adapt academic skills to the specific needs of the museum, promoting a better understanding of the current challenges of cultural management. This process included participating in tasks that ranged from organizing and planning the educational programme to managing and communicating with various audiences, in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how the museum works. This report not only describes and analyzes the activities carried out, but also reflects on how they contributed significantly to academic and professional growth. This internship has highlighted the relevance of competent and adaptive cultural management, which is fundamental to the success and sustainability of cultural institutions today.
