| dc.description.abstract | Nos dias de hoje, o acidente rodoviário é uma das maiores causas de mortalidade no mundo, exigindo uma determinada atenção. Portugal e o Brasil são países que possuem um elevado índice de acidentes nas rodovias devido a diversos fatores, como os fatores viários, os fatores veiculares, os fatores humanos e os fatores ambientais. O foco deste trabalho são os fatores viários, e de modo específico o projeto geométrico e a operação das rodovias. Apesar da existência de uma certa diferença entre as normas de traçado portuguesa e brasileira, verificadas ao longo da pesquisa realizada, não é isto que faz com que o índice de acidentes no Brasil seja maior do que o de Portugal. O principal problema das estradas brasileiras é o não seguir a norma e a saturação das rodovias. O volume de tráfego aumentou dez vezes mais que o crescimento da malha rodoviária do país, fazendo com que as rodovias trabalhem além de sua capacidade, aumentando a quantidade de acidentes. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, the road accident is one of the biggest causes of mortality in the world, demanding a certain attention. Portugal and Brazil are countries that have a high rate of road accidents due to several factors such as road factors, vehicular factors, human factors and environmental factors. The focus of the following work is the road factors, specifically the geometric design and the operation of the highways. There is a little difference between the rules of Portuguese and Brazilian, however this is not what makes the accident rate in Brazil is higher than that of Portugal. The main problem of the Brazilian roads is the disrespect to the norm and the saturation of the highways. The volume of traffic increased ten times more than the growth of the road network, causing the highways to work beyond their capacity, increasing the amount of accidents. | pt_PT |
