Este trabalho final de mestrado pretende ser um contributo didático sobre uma série de estudos para guitarra publicada em 1840 pelo compositor Leonard Schulz (1813-1860), e propõe a sua distribuição no reportório dos diferentes graus, de forma progressiva, consoante o seu nível de dificuldade.
Este Relatório de Estágio está estruturado em duas partes distintas. Em primeiro lugar descreve e reflete sobre a prática pedagógica supervisionada realizada na Escola de Música Óscar da Silva, no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino da Música da ESMAE. Em segundo lugar analisa o contributo didático dos referidos estudos de Leonard Schulz, partindo de uma perspetiva de um projeto de investigação e numa metodologia de estudo comparativo das características técnico-interpretativas das obras; esta análise é precedida por uma biografia do compositor, redigida a partir de uma recolha e estudo aprofundado de fontes primárias, secundárias e artigos de referência.
Importa salientar a relevância do emprego destas peças na didática e pedagogia do instrumento guitarra, para o mesmo poder fazer desejavelmente parte de um portfólio de escolhas.
This masters thesis aims at being a didactic contribution focusing on a series of classical guitar Etudes published by the composer Leonard Schulz (1813-1860). It is suggested in this study that the pieces should be included in the repertoire of the different learning grades of the instrument, in a progressive way and according to its difficulty. The report is structured in two parts: The first part describes the supervised pedagogical practice followed at the Escola de Música Óscar da Silva according to the framework defined by the Master Course in Music Teaching (Guitar) at Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espetáculo. The second part of the study analyses the didactic contribution of the studies of Leonard Schulz from a research point of view. This approach follows a comparative methodology, based on the technical and interpretative characteristics of the pieces and includes the composer’s biography, collected from primary and secondary sources and from research papers on the subject.. It is important to point out the significance of including these pieces in the didactics and pedagogy of the instrument, in order to further broaden the choices of the repertoire.
