Vivemos num mundo onde a incerteza se tornou uma constante! A gestão de projetos está a passar por uma fase revolucionária de desafios de grande escala os quais podem beneficiar também dos avanços tecnológicos que têm surgido como resposta aos problemas atuais. Este, entre outros fatores, levou as organizações e os gestores de projeto, a procurarem novas formas de trabalho dando prioridade aos ganhos de eficiência. A tecnologia pode ajudar nesta tarefa nomeadamente através da Inteligência Artificial, a qual, tal como é referido tanto por académicos como por indivíduos da prática, pode ser aplicada também à gestão de projetos. Acredita-se assim que esta seja uma tendência atual ao nível desta área da gestão.
Com o objetivo de dar resposta à questão de investigação “Como é utilizada a IA no âmbito da gestão de projetos e de que forma pode ser aplicada para melhorar o desempenho da organização de forma a entregar projetos de sucesso?” desenvolveu-se uma revisão da literatura sobre o tema, para conhecer o estado da arte seguida de um estudo exploratório por meio de uma metodologia qualitativa, realizada através de entrevistas analisadas por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo. Para tal desenvolveu -se um guião que serviu de base à realização das entrevistas individuais a profissionais no âmbito da gestão de projetos atuando em Portugal.
Os resultados permitiram concluir que, apesar de ainda não existir uma grande utilização e evolução da Inteligência Artificial na gestão de projetos, esta poderá ter potencial para ajudar e apoiar projetos, gestores de projetos e a própria organização. Permitiram ainda afirmar que existem pistas suficientes que sugerem que Inteligência Artificial poderá influenciar a gestão de projetos, bem como contribuir para o sucesso dos mesmos.
We live in a world where uncertainty has become constant! Project management is going through a revolutionary phase of large-scale challenges which can also benefit from the technological advances that have emerged as an answer to current problems. This, among other factors, has led organizations and project managers to seek new ways of working giving priority to efficiency gains. Technology can help in this task namely through Artificial Intelligence, which, as it is referred both by academics and individuals in practice, can also be applied to project management. It is thus believed that this is a current trend in this area of Management. In order to answer the research question "How is the Artificial Intelligence used in the context of project management and how can it be applied to improve the performance of the organization to deliver successful projects?" it was developed a literature review on the subject, to know the state of the art followed by an exploratory study through a qualitative methodology, conducted through interviews analyzed by means of the technique of content analysis. For this, it was developed a script that served as a basis for conducting individual interviews with professionals in the field of project management working in Portugal. The results allowed us to conclude that, although there is not yet a great use and evolution of Artificial Intelligence in project management, this may have potential to help and support projects, project managers and the organization itself. They also allowed us to affirm that there are sufficient clues that suggest that Artificial Intelligence can influence the management of projects, as well as contribute to their success.
