Abstract(s)
O presente relatório tem como objeto o estágio curricular na entidade kontextor teoranta, como componente de projeto final de mestrado em Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas, do Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (ISCAP- P. PORTO). O estágio foi, ainda, um estágio ERASMUS+ e decorreu na Alemanha, na cidade de Berlim.
No que concerne ao conteúdo do relatório, este está estruturado em três partes. A primeira inclui um enquadramento da entidade de acolhimento, abordando a sua estrutura organizacional, dinâmica interna e modelo operacional de externalização dos serviços linguísticos que oferece. A seguir, centra-se na experiência profissionalizante, pelo que é feita uma descrição do que em que consistiu a atividade como assistente de gestão de projetos de tradução e localização na entidade de acolhimento. Nesta parte, é explorado, ainda, o método de coordenação de projetos de tradução aplicado pelo aluno, em concordância com a cultura da entidade de acolhimento.
Por fim, são feitas considerações sobre a importância da gestão de projetos na atual indústria da tradução e de serviços linguísticos, inseridos no contexto da globalização, nomeadamente relativas à sua importância na aprendizagem e no reconhecimento de jovens tradutores, que ingressam num mercado de trabalho em progressiva evolução e expansão.
The subject of this report is the internship at kontextor teoranta, the final unit of the Master's Degree in Specialised Translation and Interpreting at the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (ISCAP- P. PORTO). This internship is part of the ERASMUS+ internship programme, and took place in Berlin, Germany. Regarding the content of the report, it is structured in three parts. The first one includes an introduction to the host company, addressing its organisational structure, internal dynamics and its operational model. It then focuses on the experience of the student, whereby a description is given of what the activity as a translation and localisation project management assistant at the host company consisted of. This section further explores the method of project management applied by the student, in accordance with the corporate culture of the host company. Finally, the importance of project management in the current translation industry and language services sector, within the context of globalisation, is discussed, namely for the learning and recognition of young professional translators, who enter a labour market in progressive evolution and expansion.
