A influência dos primeiros cantores de Blues na linguagem instrumental manifestou-se com a proliferação de efeitos e recursos puramente expressivos. A partir da segunda década do século XX, a figura do trompetista Louis Armstrong, estabelece as bases de uma linguagem caracterizada pelo desenvolvimento da criatividade
através da dimensão individual do intérprete. Tradicionalmente, a aprendizagem de repertório jazzístico consiste na audição e imitação das grandes referências que, como Armstrong, contribuíram para o enriquecimento de uma linguagem ritmicamente complexa e harmonicamente muito sofisticada. Neste contexto, a transcrição representa uma das ferramentas mais completas, sintetizando a essência da tradição aural deste género musical. No entanto, sem pretender desvalorizar o papel do processo de audição-reprodução, o presente trabalho centra-se na verificação da relevância da abordagem de parâmetros interpretativos no desenvolvimento da linguagem jazzística. Assim, o Projeto de Intervenção alicerça-se na
elaboração de um método de aproximação aos parâmetros estéticos e interpretativos do Jazz, com o objetivo de compreender o seu impacto no âmbito do ensino artístico especializado.
The influence of early Blues singers on instrumental language manifested itself with the proliferation of purely expressive effects and resources. From the second decade of the 20th century on, the figure of trumpeter Louis Armstrong, lays the foundations of a language characterized by the development of creativity through the individual dimension of the interpreter. Traditionally, the learning of jazzistic repertoire consists in the listening and imitation of the great references that, like Armstrong, contributed to the enrichment of a rhythmically complex and harmonically very sophisticated language. In this context, musical transcription represents one of the most complete tools, synthesizing the aural tradition essence of this musical genre. Nevertheless, not intending to devalue the role of the hearing-reproduction process, the present work focuses on verifying the relevance of approaching interpretative parameters in the development of Jazz language. Hence, the presented Intervention Project is founded on the elaboration of a method of approximation to the aesthetic and interpretive parameters of Jazz, aiming for understanding its impact within the scope of specialized artistic education.
