Abstract(s)
O Sistema de Promoção e Proteção de Crianças e Jovens em Risco visa, através do
acolhimento institucional em Lar de Infância e Juventude ou em Centro de
Acolhimento Temporário, proporcionar aos menores um ambiente securizante que
permita e acompanhe o seu desenvolvimento e a integração positiva na sociedade.
Nesta linha de pensamento, é essencial, e deverá existir, a especialização dos
profissionais que permita linhas de intervenção adequadas, tendo em conta as
necessidades e as características individuais de cada criança e jovem, defendendo os
seus interesses.
O presente Relatório é resultado do desenho e desenvolvimento do Projeto
“Explorar Novos Trilhos”, um Projeto em Educação e Intervenção Social, com a
finalidade de promover o bem-estar biopsicossocial dos jovens do Centro Juvenil e
que foi orientado pela metodologia de Investigação-Ação Participativa. Este Projeto
foi desenvolvido com a participação ativa dos intervenientes da realidade social e,
tendo em conta os problemas e as necessidades sentidas, resultou na definição de
objetivos, de estratégias e de ações, de forma a alcançar a mudança.
O Projeto revelou-se positivo e significativo, contribuindo para a mudança de
atitudes e, consequentemente, para a melhoria das relações interpessoais entre os
jovens, entre os profissionais e entre os jovens e os profissionais, através de
processos de reflexão e de consciencialização acerca dos comportamentos adotados
pelos jovens e das práticas educativas dos profissionais, nomeadamente dos
auxiliares de ação educativa
The System for the Promotion and Protection of Children and Young People at Risk aims, through residential care in Home for Children and Youth or in a Temporary Shelter Center, to provide minors with a safe environment, enabling and accompanying their development and positive integration in society. In this line of thought, professionals’ specialization is essential allowing adequate intervention lines, taking into account the needs, the individual characteristics, and the interests of each child and young person. This Report is the result of the design and development of the Project “Explorar Novos Trilhos”, a Project in Social Education and Intervention, with the purpose of promoting the biopsychosocial well-being of young people in the Youth Center and was guided by the Research-Participatory Action methodology. This project was developed with the active participation of the social actors, taking into account the problems and needs identified by them, and resulted in the definition of objectives, strategies and actions in order to achieve change. The Project revealed to be positive and significant, contributing to change attitudes and, consequently, to improve interpersonal relationships among young people, among professionals and among young people and professionals, through processes of reflection and awareness about the behaviors adopted by young people and the educational practices of professionals, in particular educational activity assistants.
