Abstract(s)
Domestic violence is one of the most urgent issues and with increasing visibility in today's society. The "Ser tempo" project was developed as a social response aimed at this problem, more specifically, in a Shelter Home for female Victims of Domestic Violence, accompanied or not by their minar children (or of legal age individuais in cases of dependency). This project was the result of a joint journey lasting seven months and has two approaches of psychosocial intervention, in a group and individually. The purpose of the project is to enhance the experience of being welcomed in a shelter home as a safe and empowering experience. This purpose arose from the knowledge and problematization of reality, with general and specific objectives being created in arder to respond to the needs and problems identified. The methodology used for the project development was the Participatory Action Research. Through the strategies used, it was possible to create a safe space for sharing, as well as enhance individual and collective participation as a mechanism for change. lt is important to highlight that the main strategy was the time dedicated to each of these people and the group, through a process based on listening, valuing, and understanding individual trajectories. Regarding the evaluation of the project, it is possible to state that through individual and group narratives, the "Ser tempo" project seemed to contribute to greater personal and group agency and to an increased sense of empowerment, a critical element in projecting the future.
