Abstract(s)
Acetyl–L-carnitine (ALC) has beneficial effects in neurodegenerative
diseases and was shown to be protective against exposure to methamphetamine
(METH) reducing mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress. However, the
mechanisms underlying ALC action are still unknown, limiting its putative therapeutic
use.
