Turismo de aventura e ecoturismo em Portugal: impacte nas áreas naturais e práticas sustentáveis

| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação tem como temas o turismo de aventura, o ecoturismo, e a sustentabilidade. Atualmente, a preocupação com a sustentabilidade está cada vez mais presente no turismo, investigar o envolvimento e a perceção dos turistas em relação a sustentabilidade no turismo de aventura é essencial, sendo este o objetivo principal do estudo. Como objetivos específicos temos, compreender as suas principais motivações, identificar o tipo de atividades mais praticadas e por fim, perceber o seu nível de satisfação. A metodologia utilizada e quantitativa, onde foi aplicado um questionário estruturado a 112 turistas. Os principais resultados indicam que o pilar ambiental é o mais reconhecido, existindo uma grande sensibilização dos turistas para este tema, e uma clara noção dos impactos negativos que o turismo pode ter nestas áreas. A nível económico, o turismo é visto como uma atividade capaz de desenvolver uma determinada região e promover o seu crescimento económico. Os resultados do pilar da sustentabilidade social indicam que, apesar de reconhecido o seu potencial para a melhoria na qualidade de vida das populações, ainda existe um longo percurso no que diz respeito as desigualdades sociais. As motivações do turismo de aventura mostram-nos a importância da natureza e das paisagens na atração dos visitantes, algo que valoriza ainda mais a que questão da sustentabilidade ambiental no contexto do turismo de aventura. Em relação as atividades praticadas, a busca por atividades desafiadoras é algo comum entre os turistas. É também concluído por este estudo que existe uma preferência de atividades por género, o género feminino é amante das atividades “soft” e o género masculino procura outro tipo de emoções através das atividades “hard”. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The themes of this dissertation are adventure tourism, ecotourism, and sustainability. Nowadays, the concern for sustainability is increasingly present in tourism, and investigating the involvement and perception of tourists in relation to sustainability in adventure tourism is essential, which is the main objective of the study. The specific objectives are to understand their main motivations, to identify the type of activities most practiced and, finally, to understand their level of satisfaction. The methodology used is quantitative, in which a structured questionnaire was administered to 112 tourists. The main results indicate that the environmental pillar is the most recognized, with tourists being very aware of this issue and clearly aware of the negative impacts that tourism can have on these areas. On an economic level, tourism is seen as an activity capable of developing a given region and promoting its economic growth. The results of the social sustainability pillar indicate that although its potential for improving people's quality of life is recognized, there is still a long way to go in terms of social inequalities. The motivations for adventure tourism show us the importance of nature and landscapes in attracting visitors, something that further highlights the issue of environmental sustainability in the context of adventure tourism. Regarding the activities practiced, the search for challenging activities is common among tourists. This study also concludes that there is a preference for activities by gender, with the female gender loving “soft” activities and the male gender seeking other types of thrills through “hard” activities. | pt_PT |
