Abstract(s)
Alma Criança is a journey through the universe of childhood, interweaving dance, pedagogy, and creativity. The study arises from the desire to value children’s spontaneous emotions, often neglected in traditional dance education, proposing a student-centered approach that privileges listening, autonomy, and expressiveness. The main aim is to celebrate childhood through the implementation of pedagogical strategies that foster agency, identity, and confidence, with dance as the foundational structure. Methodologically, the research is based on an exploratory actionresearch study, supported by reflective practice, critical pedagogical design, and situated analysis of teaching practice. The process articulates innovation, contextualization, and pedagogical adaptation, leading to the co-creation of a choreography with the active participation of the children. This work contributes to the development of more inclusive, creative, and meaningful dance teaching practices, recognizing the child not only as a performer, but as a creator and protagonist of their own artistic journey
