O turismo Ć© um dos setores com mais importĆ¢ncia para a economia mundial, sendo que existem vĆ”rios fatores que vieram acrescentar relevĆ¢ncia a este setor de atividade. As tecnologias vieram entranhar-se no seu dia-a-dia, fazendo com o que a prestaĆ§Ć£o de serviƧos seja cada vez mais rĆ”pida e eficaz, e, consequentemente, a competitividade nos negĆ³cios do setor aumente. Face ao ambiente altamente
competitivo a que se assiste, verifica-se que existe uma evoluĆ§Ć£o nos modelos de negĆ³cios, que auxiliam a geraĆ§Ć£o de receita, trazem vantagens competitivas e sĆ£o mais recetivas Ć s necessidades e preferĆŖncias dos consumidores.
Os objetivos a que este trabalho de projeto sĆ£o duas propostas, uma relacionada com os processos organizacionais adequadas Ć s atividades do hotel e outra relativa Ć s tecnologias de informaĆ§Ć£o e comunicaĆ§Ć£o (TIC) para os principais processos organizacionais do hotel. Posto isto, esta investigaĆ§Ć£o tem como finalidade desenvolver uma compreensĆ£o abrangente da forma como as tecnologias podem ser uma vantagem para o setor hoteleiro, tendo em conta, tambĆ©m, as estratĆ©gias de negĆ³cio adotadas. Tal serĆ” possĆvel atravĆ©s da metodologia aplicada na investigaĆ§Ć£o, um estudo de caso feito no Hotel Tryp Porto Expo, com os dados recolhidos atravĆ©s de entrevistas semiestruturadas a oito colaboradores, incluindo o diretor. Tal permitiu identificar as funƧƵes e atividades executadas no dia-a-dia e quais as TIC que se utilizam para as realizar. A anĆ”lise de dados foi feita segunda uma metodologia qualitativa. Obteve-se, entĆ£o, uma proposta de processos organizacionais para hotelaria e percebeu-se quais sĆ£o as tecnologias mais adequadas para o setor, tendo em conta as que o hotel em estudo utiliza.
Conclui-se que as tecnologias e os processos organizacionais tĆŖm bastante relevĆ¢ncia no turismo, e que ambos criam vantagens competitivas para o setor, o principal contributo Ć© uma proposta de processos organizacionais para hotelaria e uma proposta de melhorias para o hotel em estudo com recurso a TIC.
Tourism is one of the most important sectors for the world economy, and there are several factors that have come to add relevance to this sector of activity. The technologies have come into being in their daily life, making the provision of services increasingly fast and effective, and, consequently, competitiveness in the sector's business growth. Faced with the highly competitive environment to which it is seen, there is an evolution in business models, which help generate revenue, bring competitive advantages and are more receptive to the needs and preferences of consumers. The objectives to which this project work are to draw up two proposals, one related to the organizational processes appropriate to the activities of the hotel and another related to information and communication technologies (ICT) for the main processes the hotel's organizational structures. Therefore, this research aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of how technologies can be an advantage for the hospitality industry, also taking into account the business strategies adopted. This will be possible through the methodology applied in the investigation, a case study done at the Tryp Porto Expo Hotel, with data collected through semi-structured interviews with eight collaborators, including the director. This allowed us to identify the functions and activities performed in the day-to-day and which ICT they use to accomplish them. The analysis of data was performed according to a qualitative methodology. It was obtained, then, a proposal of organizational processes for hospitality and realization of what are the most suitable technologies for the sector, taking into account those that the hotel in study uses. It is concluded that the technologies and organizational processes are very relevant in tourism, and that both create competitive advantages for the sector, the main contribution is a proposal of organizational processes for hospitality and a proposal for improvements for the hotel under study using ICT.
