Entrada no mundo organizacional a partir da pós-modernidade, a responsabilidade social provocou uma verdadeira 'revolução coperniciana' no seio das organizações e empresas. Mudando a centralidade do lucro para o bem-estar e para o desenvolvimento sustentável, tornou-se um dos vetores cruciais da economia da 'sociedade da informação'. Neste estudo começamos por fundamentar teoricamente os conceitos operacionais, organização e RSE, partindo depois para as dimensões da sua prática nas empresas.
