Abstract(s)
permitam sobreviver a atualidade. A internacionalização, muitas vezes, é a principal e
United Investmen ts Portugal (UIP).
Nowadays, in the hotel industry, the constant appearance of new competitors forces hotels to create strategies that allow them to survive. Internationalisation is often the main and only strategy for hotels, as it is seen as a process that allows them to emerge and expand into foreign markets. The main aim of this internship report, carried out at YOTEL Porto, is to understand the internationalisation strategies adopted by United Investments Portugal (UIP). To better understand this process, the main reasons for the internationalisation of a brand, the barriers that this process entails, and the modes of entry will be analysed. To this end, a qualitative methodology was adopted, involving interviews with senior managers at the UIP company as a method of data collection. Through the data collected during the semi-structured interviews, content and document analysis, it was possible to fulfil the defined objective.
