Abstract(s)
Utilizando o ponto de partida do ensino da História do Direito pelos autores, o objetivo desta análise é salientar a contribuição do uso das línguas clássicas para determinadas referências culturais e jurídicas que, no sistema de direito romano-germânico, em que Portugal se inclui, estão indissociavelmente ligadas ao uso do latim. De expressões da época romanas como dura lex, sed lex à quid iuris?, ainda usadas, a história do direito surge como veículo para a compreensão do uso de expressões latinas no direito contemporâneo. A intenção centra-se na ideia de realçar a permanência do uso de expressões latinas no Direito e como este aspeto nos salienta a importância do ensino da História do Direito enquanto conhecimento da receção e renascimento do direito romano para o direito português.
