O seguinte relatório surge como requisito necessario para obtenção do grau de
Mestre de Direção Hoteleira - Comercial e Marketing, pela Escola Superior de Hotelaria
e Turismo. O estágio realizado foi dividido em duas fases, com uma curta passagem pelo
economato e o restante no Departamento Financeiro do Boeira Garden Hotel, Curio
Collection by Hilton, entre novembro de 2020 e abril de 2021.
O relatório tem como principal objetivo comparar a literatura com o
experienciado no hotel durante o período de estagio. Complementarmente, foi realizado
um inquérito por questionário ao departamento financeiro de hotéis de 4 e 5 estrelas, de
modo a compreender o seu funcionamento e construído manuais de procedimentos para
o bom funcionamento do departamento financeiro do hotel.
Ao terminar este relatório concluiu-se que existem funções que correspondem
a literatura apresentada e outras que não. Conclui-se também que o estágio contribuiu
seguramente para a obtenção de conhecimento teóricos e operacionais sobre a função
de income auditor num departamento financeiro.

The internship was divided in two stages, one with a short spell in economat and the rest in the financial department of Boeira Garden Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, between November 2020 and April 2021. The report's purpose was to compare the literature with the experience at the hotel. Additionally, a questionnaire survey adressed to the financial department of 4 and 5 star hotels was carried out so as to understand its functioning and manuals of procedures were created to assure a good functioning of the financial department.
