Abstract(s)
Este trabalho surge no seguimento de reflexões diárias em torno dos problemas particulares da área da produção e outros que se relacionam com quase todas as áreas de um teatro nacional. Surge também da necessidade de preencher uma lacuna sobre o papel do produtor dando conhecimento ao público em geral. Neste sentido, pretendo dar a conhecer o trabalho de um produtor, enquadrando e questionando as suas funções num contexto de organização institucional e das práticas laborais em geral.
Ao longo da minha vida profissional, como produtora, fui-me deparando com algumas problemáticas que nunca deixaram de me inquietar.
Combinando a minha experiência pessoal com a transmitida pelos quatro produtores culturais entrevistados neste trabalho, foi paralelamente realizado um documentário sobre o dia-a-dia de uma produtora, em que apresento as encruzilhadas e os caminhos partilhados entre a produção e a criação de um processo criativo. Procuro contrapor às práticas comumente utilizadas na construção de um espectáculo, com práticas alternativas, que visam combater a ideia generalizada de que o trabalho da produção é uma função meramente executiva suportada por uma cada vez maior burocratização, hierarquização de funções e pouca participação naquilo que é o acto de criação.
This work is the result of daily reflections on the particular problems that theatre production faces and others that relate to almost all areas of a national theater. It also arises from the need to fill a gap in the role of the producer and make it known to the general public. In this sense, I intend to make the work of a producer known, framing and questioning its functions in the context of institutional organization and working practices in general. Throughout my professional life, as a producer, I have come across some issues that have never ceased to worry me. Combining my personal experience with that of the four cultural producers interviewed in this work, a documentary was made about the day-to-day life of a producer, in which I present the crossroads and paths shared between the production and creation of a creative process. I try to counter the practices commonly used in the construction of a show with alternative practices, which aim to combat the widespread idea that production work is a purely executive function supported by ever-increasing bureaucratization, hierarchization of functions and little participation in what is the act of creation.
