Abstract(s)
A escola proporciona muito mais do que conteúdos programáticos a quem a frequenta. Tem como dever oferecer estímulos sociais e ferramentas para um bom desenvolvimento a todos os alunos. Estamos numa época em que a escola deve adaptar-se ao aluno e não ao contrário e esta realidade deveria estar presente na vida escolar de qualquer um. A escola tem de olhar para cada aluno como um indivíduo próprio com opiniões e ritmos diferentes e, principalmente, ter um olhar mais acolhedor sob todas as crianças.
Este trabalho tem como ponto principal perceber de que forma a escola dá resposta às necessidades educativas das crianças institucionalizadas e para isto, realizamos um estudo de caso utilizando o método qualitativo, recorrendo a entrevistas como ferramentas para a recolha de dados. Tendo sempre presente três objetivos: identificar as necessidades educativas das crianças; compreender como é que os docentes entendem as necessidades educativas e compreender a interação entre a escola-instituição.
The school provides a lot more than programed contents to the ones that frequent it. It has as main goal the offer of social stimulation and tools for a good development for all the students. We are in an era when the school should be the one adjusting to the students and not the other way around. This reality should be present in the school life of each student. The schools have to look to each student as a personal individual with different rethemes and opinions e mainly with a warmer/maternal look over each child. This work has as main focus the understanding of the institutionalized kids education special needs. Baring that in mind we conducted a case study using the qualitative method appealing to interviews as tolls for data collection, always keeping in mind 3 main goals: identification of kids education needs, understand how teachers look at those necessities and what is the interaction between school- institution.
