Este projeto propõe um estudo sobre a imagem cinematográfica. A imagem como projeto de relações ou de um conjunto de encontros. Nomeadamente, com o realizador (a equipa), as personagens, o espetador e, desde logo, com o objeto que escolhemos enquadrar.
O centro é a direção de fotografia. Contexto a partir do qual proponho pensar a imagem, o ato cinematográfico. Mais do que simples construções qualitativas de beleza, intento demonstrar a importância da função do diretor de fotografia no cinema de autor. Não apenas um operador que resolve tecnicamente as intenções formais de um realizador, mas como alguém que pode acrescentar valor crítico e criativo à narrativa de um filme. Qual a pertinência, ou justificação ética e processual de um diretor de imagem no cinema?

Namely, with the director (the team), the characters, the viewer and, immediately, with the object that we propose to frame. The center is the director of photography (cinematographer). Context from which I propose to think the image, the cinematic act. More than simple qualitative constructs of beauty, I try demonstrate the importance role of the director of photography on auteur cinema. Not just an operator that solves technically formal intentions of a filmmaker, but as someone who can add value to the creative and critical narrative of a film.
