Abstract(s)
Nowadays, the background of a competitive marketplace demonstrates the ongoing demand for greater product quality, which is essential for any business. To avenge this market, more and more efforts are made to meet customer needs, as well as maintain profitability and reducing operations costs. Faced with these needs, companies are increasingly implementing methodologies defined as Lean Manufacturing, based on a management philosophy focused on identifying and eliminating waste (activities that do not add value) through continuous improvement, which have presented excellent results. The main objective of this project is the elaboration of work instructions, cleaning instructions, technical specifications for the various stages of the production process, planning and implementation of solutions for improvements, using Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing tool. A brief study of the solar photovoltaic technology state-of-the-art was also carried out for the company, followed by its operation, the design and the study of the economic viability of a hotovoltaic system for energy production. In order to improve results, 26 work instructions, 13 cleaning instructions, 4 quality instructions and 9 technical specifications were carried out with the aim of standardizing the procedures in each operation and also as an aid to new members in the team. In order to reduce the energy billing of the company, was designed a photovoltaic system or energy production. With its elaboration it was verified that the conditions were not met so that the company could be 100% self-sufficient, since the available area for application of the system is not enough to support the current consumption. Therefore a sizing was carried out in order to reduce energy billing. The resulting facility is composed of 505 polycrystalline panels composed of 60 cells, with a power of 136,4 kWp. The investment for the installation has a value of € 125 000, with an estimated return period of tem years.
