- Stigma associated with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in the young Portuguese populationPublication . Young people with ADHD often suffer from stigma, which can exacerbate their symptoms, discourage them from seeking help, and increase functional deficits. Understanding the factos that lead to stigma is necessary to promote a change in public awareness and to combat stigma and its consequences. Describe the prevalence of ADHD stigma in the young Portuguese population aged 11-17 years and understand the factos that lead young people to stigmatise people with ADHD. The sample was recruited through a non-probabilistic method, due to the easy access to individuals aged between 11 and 17 years, in several schools and youth organisations from Porto Metropolitan Area. In order to select participants for the interviews, a non-probabilistic purposive maximum variation method was used. The ADHD stigma questionnaire (ASQ) allowed assessing the participants’ levels of stigma, and a semi-structured interview was utilised to generate qualitative data. The quantitative sample was made upo f 102 individuals. According to the variables under study, no statistically significant diferences were found in the ASQ score, although some trends were observed. The interviews with 17 individuals allowed the identification of some promoters of stigma: ADHD symptoms, psychological and pharmacological treatment, “being diferente”, and public knowledge. Several factos that lead young people to stigmatise were found, although further studies are needed. The presente study is a positive contribution to the understanding of stigma against ASHD and, consequently, to the development of prevention and intervention programes on ADHD stigma.

Para além da descrição do processo criativo, este trabalho circunscreve a metodologia resultante da pesquisa laboratorial no seio da Associação Ethos, Pathos, Logos, e apresenta uma perspectiva de aplicações futuras desta - em registos que transcendem o Teatro e promovem uma relação orgânica e sensorial com o Desenho e a manipulação da peça de roupa, num âmbito de criação artístico-pedagógica mais alargado.

Pereira, Cristiana Aires; Oliveira, Helena Maria da CostaThe risk consists in the possibility of occurrence any event that causes damages in organizations. So, Internal Control is important in companies to the analysis and risks management and to secure the efficacy and the efficiency of their operations. It is also known by the literature review the importance of Internal Control Systems implementation in the companies, with the purpose to secure accuracy, validity, preservation and security of their operations. This study has analysed the context caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, that reached Portugal in March of 2020, in the Tourism sector, which is one of the biggest and more competitive work markets. The main purpose of this dissertation is to analyse the perception of tourism workers about the relationship between Internal Control existence and risks attenuation in their companies. The literature analysis was complemented by a quantitative study made through a questionnaire, sent to 830 workers of the tourism sector. It was concluded that, in the majority, participants agree with the implementation of Internal Control Systems, considering it to be a positive point towards their competitors, to face the situation in which they find themselves caused by the coronavirus. However, participants affirm that Internal Control Systems implementation is not approachable to all companies, but its default doesn’t make them necessarily more fragile. To bridge difficulties caused by the pandemic, most refer that the Government role is crucial to secure companies’ recovery. This study is very important to understand the opinion of respondents about the creation of an Internal Control System, namely by the implementation of risk analysis routines to manage possible risks that can threaten the proper functioning of their activities.
- Fatores determinantes para a decisão da política do baixo endividamento: o caso das empresas Portuguesas e Espanholas do comércio por grossoPublication . Rocha, Ana Rita Martins de Jesus; Silva, Armando Mendes Jorge Nogueira daO presente estudo analisa os principais fatores pelo qual algumas empresas, portuguesas e espanholas do mesmo setor, comércio por grosso, seguem uma política de baixo endividamento. O estudo foi limitado a oito anos, entre o período de 2011 a 2018. A metodologia utilizada consiste na estimação de um modelo de regressão linear, tendo por base um modelo econométrico do tipo Logit, de forma a permitir verificar quais as características das empresas que permitem seguir uma política de baixo endividamento. Num primeiro momento foi efetuado uma comparação entre as empresas com baixo endividamento, ou seja, empresa com endividamente inferior ou igual a 20%, e empresa com endividamento superior a 20%. Em seguida, foi aplicado o modelo econométrico do tipo Logit de forma a perceber quais os fatores que caracterizam as empresas com baixo endividamento. Os resultados obtidos das empresas da amostra sugerem que, as empresa com baixo endividamento apresentam, em média, menos liquidez, menores valores de depósitos e caixa, e tem maior percentagem de ativos tangíveis. O estudo do fenómeno do baixo endividamento é importante, dado que, permite perceber alguns fatores determinantes para que as empresas optem por seguir uma política de baixo endividamento e quais as causas para que isso aconteça.
