Abstract(s)
pessoa.
O presente relatório reflete o desenvolvimento do Projeto “Reabilitar em Saúde
Mental: Uma abordagem integrada, integral e participada”, realizado no
Due to the deinstitutionalization process, the mental health care is no longer happening in psychiatric institutions, to be developed in the community. The hospital care is being integrated in general hospitals but, more than treating the symptomatology, it is necessessary to face the person with a mental illness as a whole, in a integrated manner, considering one´s story and environment, respecting their right to be a full-fledged citizen, with an active and participative voice in everything that involves them. Therefore, psychosocial approaches based in a help relation developed in the community are essential. In order for that to happen, it is necessary that the perspective of the professionals don´t focus only in the illness, but also in the potential change of the person. The current report reflects the development of the project “Rehabilitate in mental health: an integrated, holistic and participatory approach”, executed in the Mental Health Department (MHD) of Pedro Hispano Hospital (PHH), anchored in the principles of participatory action research methodology. The project aimed changing the practices of the MHD of the PHH in order to develop integrated, participatory and community interventions, oriented for the psychosocial rehabilitation of people with severe mental illness. The project developed in two axis: one centered in the organization of the service, of the team and of the practices to a community viewpoint, and the second axis includes two psychosocial interventions that aim a psychosocial rehabilitation of two subjects with severe mental illness, executed in their contexts of life.
