Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de estágio tem como objetivo descrever as atividades realizadas por mim durante um período de seis meses no Consulado Honorário de Itália no Porto. Este relatório foi realizado no âmbito do mestrado de Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas no Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração no Porto, como projeto final de Mestrado, e decorreu entre os meses de março e setembro de 2022.
O relatório inicia-se com uma breve descrição da da entidade de acolhimento, onde depois de contextualizado o estágio, prossigo com uma análise baseada na minha experiência e em literatura recolhida. A análise teórica aborda a tradução jurídica, as dificuldades possíves de encontrar quando se realiza este tipo de tradução, aborda ainda, a Diretiva 2010/64/EU e como esta afeta a profissão de tradutor jurídico em Portugal, o processo de certificação de documentos em Portugal e, finalmente, a procura de equivalências entre o italiano e o português jurídico.
Para concluir, numa segunda parte do relatório, irei oferecer um parecer baseado na minha experiência prática, onde irei retratar as minhas atividades, as metodologias por mim utilizadas e quais foram algumas das correções realizadas face a erros que encontrei em traduções.
Along the following internship report, I will proceed to describe the activities worked on by me for a period of six months while interning for the Honorary Italian Consulate in Porto. This report was carried out in the scope of the Masters in Specialized Translation and Interpretation in Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração no Porto, as the Masters final project, and took place between march and september. The report starts off by describing the hosting body for the internship, where I then follow up with making an analysis based on my experience and the literature that I gathered. The theoretical analysis follows legal translation, the dificulties one can find while translating legal documents, I address the 2010/64/EU Directive and how that affects the legal translator profession in Portugal, the process of certifying documents in Portugal and, finally, also talk about the search for equivalency in legal italian and portuguese. To conclude, in the second part of this report, I will provide my opinion based on practical expertise, where I lay out all the activities I took part in, the methods used by me, some of the problems I faced throughout my work as a reviser, some of the corrections I did on translations.
