Mo(vi)mentos de raíz. A dinâmica das Artes Performativas na Cooperativa Árvore

Abstract

A Cooperativa Árvore é uma instituição que atua artística e culturalmente em Portugal desde 1963. Desta forma, a Cooperativa foi um veículo de divulgação da arte contemporânea no panorama português. No contexto artístico dos séculos XX e XXI, a performance art foi uma das tipologias acolhidas e trabalhadas na instituição. Assim, este projeto foca-se principalmente na recolha, organização e compilação dos registos fotográficos e videográficos de performance e eventos relacionados com a mesma, ocorridos na Árvore ou incluídos na sua programação. Isto permitirá criar uma “base de dados” com todas as performances listadas e informação sobre essas. Para além da recolha desses registos para benefício não só da instituição mas também do público interessado, possibilitará também uma análise da evolução da performance art em Portugal, mais especificamente na cidade do Porto.

The Árvore Cooperative is an institution that acts culturally and artistically in Portugal since 1963. In this way, the Cooperative was a way of contemporary art dissemination in the Portuguese scene. In the artistic context of XX and XXI century, performance art was one of the hosted and worked typologies at the institution. Therefore, this project focuses mainly in the gathering, organization and collection of the video and photographic records regarding performance art moments occurred at Árvore or included in some of their cultural programming. This will allow to create a “database” with all performances listed and complemented with information about them. Over and above the collection of those records for institutional and public purposes (for those who are interested), this will also allow an analysis of the evolution of performance art in Portugal, more specifically in the city of Porto.
