A mudança de paradigma e a forma de ultrapassar uma abordagem educacional focada na deficiência é promover guiões que assinalem a participação como a meta preferencial de intervenção e identificar maneiras de avaliar as variáveis do ambiente que afetem o contorno educacional da criança.
O Inventário de Suportes para a Comunicação – Crianças e Jovens (ISC-CJ) foi desenhado com base na Classificação Internacional de Funcionalidade – Crianças e Jovens (CIF-CJ), de forma a aglutinar todos os códigos relacionados com o domínio da comunicação.
O presente estudo teve como objetivo aferir em que medida o Inventário de Suportes para a Comunicação – Crianças e Jovens (ISC-CJ) pode ser utilizado como instrumento de apoio aos profissionais para descrever os domínios da comunicação nos perfis de funcionalidade e na definição dos objetivos de intervenção.
Para a concretização deste objetivo analisamos o perfil de funcionalidade de 90 Planos Educativos Individuais (PEI’s), bem como os objetivos de intervenção dos PEI que os apresentavam, como recurso ao Inventário de Suportes para a Comunicação – Crianças e Jovens (ISC-CJ).
Changing the paradigm and overcoming a disability-focused approach to education is to promote scripts that signal participation as the preferred goal of intervention and to identify ways of assessing environmental variables that affect the educational outline of the child. The Communication Support Inventory for Children and Youth (ISC-CJ) was designed based on the International Classification of Functioning - Children and Youth (CIF-CJ), in order to bring together all the codes related to the field of communication. The objective of this study was to evaluate the extent to which the Communication Support Inventory - Children and Youth (ISC-CJ) can be used as a tool to support professionals to describe the domains of communication in the profiles of functionality and the definition of objectives intervention. In order to achieve this goal, we analyzed the functional profile of 90 Individual Educational Plans (PEI's), as well as the intervention objectives of the PEI that presented them, as a resource to the Inventory of Communication Supports - Children and Youth (ISC-CJ).
