Abstract(s)
O presente ensaio pretende explorar o subtexto resultante da relação entre a intensidade narrativa da história e a expressividade da Cinematografia, demonstrando como na transformação e variação da expressividade dos elementos cinematográficos ao longo do tempo fílmico se estrutura a Narrativa Visual de um filme. Tendo em conta as ferramentas usadas pelo Diretor de Fotografia, sobretudo ao nível da composição e da iluminação, pretende-se mensurar e estabelecer níveis de expressividade no tratamento das mesmas, fazendo corresponder determinado conjunto de soluções visuais a determinados momentos da intriga; ao mesmo tempo pretende-se fundamentar as escolhas técnicas e artísticas da Direção de Fotografia da Curta-Metragem “Fantasmas”, curta-metragem produzida no âmbito do projeto final de Mestrado em Comunicação Audiovisual, especialização em Produção e Realização Audiovisual, da ESMAE - Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espetáculo.
This essay intends to explore the dialectic produced by the narrative content and the transformation of the cinematography form throghout the filmic time, this is, the visual narrative of a film. Considering the tools used by the Director of Photography, namely in composition and lighting, it is intended to measure and establish levels of expressivity in the treatment of these by corresponding certain visual solutions to certain moments of the story; in paralel it is intended to justify the technical and artistic choices taken in the Cinematography of the short film “Ghosts”, produced within the final project of the Masters in Visual Communication, Audiovisual Production and Direction specialty, from ESMAE.
