Abstract(s)
Measuring the levels of job satisfaction, engagement and burnout, especially in those whose activity is related to direct contact with the public, is essential to diagnose the quality of work performed by employees, as well as their physical and mental health. In this sense, the objective of this work was to identify the level of job satisfaction, engagement and burnout of civil servants at the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS). This case study refers to a quantitative, transversal, descriptive, correlational and predictive research. Four questionnaires were applied, of which 3 were for the main themes studied, and finally the questionnaire on the sociodemographic profile of the sample studied. To measure job satisfaction, the Job Satisfaction questionnaire S10/12 was used; for engagement, the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) questionnaire was used; and finally, the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to measure burnout. To assess the differences between the groups formed, parametric (T test) and non-parametric (Mann-Whitney) tests were used when there were two samples and the non-parametric test (Kruskal-Wallis) when there were more than 2 samples. Spearman's coefficient was also evaluated to verify the existence of an association between the dimensions of job satisfaction, engagement and burnout, using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program (IBM-SPSS, version 26). With a population of 1304 civil servants, 413 respondents were obtained, where it was verified that the servants have high job satisfaction, and in relation to the engagement dimension, 39.71% of the servants have high absorption, 37.77% have medium vigor and 35.11% have low dedication; in relation to the burnout dimension, 36.06% have low personal fulfillment (RP), 34.38% have high emotional exhaustion (EM) and 33.90% have low depersonalization (DP). Regarding burnout, it is suggested the implementation of measures that increase the RP and reduce the EM indices by the IFMS.
