Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho teve como principal objetivo analisar a satisfação com
o suporte social em pais de crianças com perturbações do espectro do
autismo (PEA), através da implementação de um grupo de ajuda mútua.
Participaram três pais e cinco mães, com idades compreendidas entre os
33 e os 42 anos de idade. Estes responderam a um conjunto de instrumentos
(e.g. Ficha de Inscrição; Inventário das Percepções dos Pais Kansas; …), que
permitiram caraterizar as suas necessidades e perceções. Uma vez que o
principal objetivo do estudo era Implementar um grupo de ajuda mútua,
dando resposta às necessidades destes pais, foi planificado e implementado
um grupo de ajuda mútua nesse sentido e elaborado um portefólio da família,
como ferramenta de intervenção.
Os resultados obtidos permitiram verificar que a maioria dos pais ficou
satisfeita com o apoio recebido.
Os resultados deste estudo vêm assim reforçar a importância do suporte
social na diminuição dos níveis de stress e ansiedade de pais com crianças
com PEA e enfatizar a importância das intervenções no fortalecimento das
redes de apoio social junto destes pais.
This study aimed to analyze the relationship stress and satisfaction social support in parents of children with autism spectrum disorders ( ASD ) through the implementation of a self-help group . Three fathers and five mothers , aged between 33 and 42 years old participated . They answered a set of instruments ( eg Registration Form ; Inventory of Parental Perceptions Kansas ; ... ) , that enabled them to feature , as well as get their needs and perceptions . Since the main objective was to implement a self-help group , responding to the needs of these parents , was planned and implemented a self-help group accordingly and developed a portfolio of the family, as an intervention tool. The results obtained showed that the majority of parents were satisfied with the support received . The results of this study have thus enhance the importance of social support in decreased levels of stress and anxiety of parents with children with ASD and emphasize the importance of interventions in strengthening social support networks among these parents.
