Neste artigo será feita uma apresentação dos romances policiais do autor suíço Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921-1990) traduzidos para língua portuguesa. Num primeiro momento serão apresentadas a génese de cada obra e também a diegese das mesmas. Será também discutida a conceção de literatura de Dürrenmatt, pois é esta a razão que levou a que os policiais e também os outros géneros literários escolhidos por este escritor helvético tivessem imenso sucesso, tanto na Suíça como também internacionalmente. Por fim, será levantada a indagação de se os textos chegaram a Portugal por via direta ou indireta.
In this article a presentation of the crime stories of the Swiss author Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921-1990) translated into Portuguese will be made. In a first moment the genesis and the plot of each work will be presented. Dürrenmatt's conception of literature will also be discussed, because this is the reason why the crime novels and other literary genres chosen by this Swiss writer were immensely successful both in Switzerland and internationally. Finally, the question of whether the texts have arrived to Portugal by direct or by indirect translation will be emphasized.
