Abstract(s)
aula. A segunda parte é dedicada à descrição do espaço educativo onde
This work intends to investigate the didactic potential using songs in classes of Foreign Language, in what concerns the comprehension and oral/ written production, lexicon and grammar; its role as a strategy of motivation, interest and participation. It is also intended to demonstrate the importance that the use of songs had in my teaching practice in the context of pedagogic training. This study is divided into two parts, the first one being a brief introduction of the importance that internship has for training teachers of a foreign language, and a theoretical review where some advantages of using songs in the classroom context are referenced. The second part is dedicated to the description of the educational space where the internship took place, the methodology used and the treatment of data collected. For data collection, an observation grid centred on three essential focuses was used: didactic potentialities of music / song use in LE classes, participation, motivation and students' interest in adopting this pedagogical practice. Through the observations made it was verified that, although it is a great enhancer to develop the comprehension and oral production providing the students more moments of interaction, it wasn’t the expected with written production, lexicon and grammar so, in the future, this should be something to reflect and to develop in this learning area.
