Resumo(s)

This article presents a bibliometric review of the literature on maturity models applied to Industry 4.0 and digital transformation. The study aims to map and analyze research trends, key authors, and influential works in this emerging field. It focuses on publications indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases over the past decade. It uses bibliometric analysis tools to explore publication patterns, co-authorship networks, and thematic evolution. The findings reveal that global scientific production in Industry 4.0 research experienced slow growth between 2016 and 2019, followed by a significant increase from 2020 to 2021, peaking in 2022. Countries such as Italy, Portugal, and the UK lead citations, while Brazil plays a central role in international research collaborations. Thematic maps show developing trends, including growing interest in “green” technologies and emerging topics like “virtual reality”. This bibliometric analysis highlights key research dynamics and identifies potential future directions for studies in Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.
