- Bibliometric analysis of digital maturity assessment models for Industry 4.0Publication . Silva, G. G. M. P. da; Guimarães, A.; Pereira, Marisa G.; Ferreira, Fernanda A.; Pereira, M. T.This article presents a bibliometric review of the literature on maturity models applied to Industry 4.0 and digital transformation. The study aims to map and analyze research trends, key authors, and influential works in this emerging field. It focuses on publications indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases over the past decade. It uses bibliometric analysis tools to explore publication patterns, co-authorship networks, and thematic evolution. The findings reveal that global scientific production in Industry 4.0 research experienced slow growth between 2016 and 2019, followed by a significant increase from 2020 to 2021, peaking in 2022. Countries such as Italy, Portugal, and the UK lead citations, while Brazil plays a central role in international research collaborations. Thematic maps show developing trends, including growing interest in “green” technologies and emerging topics like “virtual reality”. This bibliometric analysis highlights key research dynamics and identifies potential future directions for studies in Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.
- Enhancing G-SIB evaluation with the PSI-WISP method: a proposed frameworkPublication . Lucas, Felipe Fortuna; Gomes, Carlos Francisco Simões; Santos, Marcos dos; Lucas, Solange Maria Fortuna; Ferreira, Fernanda A.; Pereira, Maria TeresaFinancial market regulation has been crucial since the first Basel Accord in 1988. However, current methods for assessing global systemically important banks (G-SIBs) require improvement to provide a more precise evaluation of systemic risk. The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) assesses G-SIBs based on size, interconnectivity, substitutability, complexity, and transnationality. This study proposes an enhanced evaluation approach using multicriteria decision aid (MCDA) tools. By applying the PSI-WISP method to the 2022 BCBS dataset, we compare the rankings generated by our model with those of the committee. Our results indicate significant differences in classifications, suggesting that PSI-WISP can offer a more accurate and detailed assessment of systemic risk. The findings have practical implications for regulators and policymakers, as they provide an alternative methodology that enhances transparency and robustness in G-SIB rankings, ultimately contributing to a more resilient global financial system.
