Abstract(s)
Este estudo tem como objetivo principal compreender de que forma foi planeado o processo de Transição para a Vida adulta de jovens com necessidades adicionais de suporte especificamente nos aspetos relacionados com a participação e envolvimento do próprio e dos seus pais / encarregados de educação.
Participam no estudo, de natureza qualitativa, os pais / EE de seis jovens com necessidades adicionais de suporte em fase de transição para a vida adulta ou que deixaram a escolaridade obrigatória há pouco tempo, bem como os próprios jovens. Para a recolha de dados recorreu-se a entrevistas semiestruturadas seguindo um guião previamente elaborado com base na literatura, na legislação em vigor (D.L. 54/2018) e também com o recurso ao questionário (TQI –Transition quality indicators, University Cornell), que foi traduzido e adaptado de forma apoder ter-se em conta a qualidade dos indicadores de transição presentes ao longo do processo. As entrevistas foram gravadas com a autorização dos intervenientes e foram posteriormente transcritas na íntegra e objeto de análise de conteúdo.
Os dados obtidos, apesar das limitações devidas ao número reduzido da amostra, remetem-nos para a necessidade de refletir sobre os tópicos analisados, partilhando-os com a comunidade educativa e outros agentes envolvidos afim de se reverem práticas e promover atitudes congruentes com uma mudança que vá ao encontro das reais necessidades dos jovens com necessidades adicionais de suporte e das suas famílias.
This study has the main purpose to understand how the transition from school to active life of young people with disabilities has been planned, focused on the aspects related to the participation of the person with disabilities and his parents. We had the participation from the parents of six young persons with disabilties that were in the transition process from school to active life or that had left school recently and also the youngsters For colleting the data, we have done interviews with a script that has been previously prepared and related to the literature in this matter, the legislation and with the help from the TQI (Transition Questionary Indicators, University Cornell) that has been translated to portuguese and adapted to reflect the quality of the indicators of transition along the process. The interviews were recorded with the authorization from the participants and were transcribed for content analysis. The results of this study, despite the limitations within the small sample, lead us to the need to reflect about the topics that were analyzed, sharing them with all the school community and other agencies involved within the transition process in order to review the practices and promote congruent attitudes within a change that meets the real needs of the young people with disabilities ant their families.
