Abstract(s)
work-life blend.
Desta forma, a presente investigação procurou analisar a problemática do work-life blend e a
de work-life balance? E de work-life blend?” e por fim, “sente work-life blend cumprido na sua
vida?
atual.
Research work that is based on the conciliation between professional life and personal life as integral parts and, consequently, indispensable parts of human life. This idea leads us, inevitably, to the notion of work-life blend, a well-known problem, and, therefore, insufficient at a time when more and more demands are placed on the worker and the worker, on work and of how he perceives it in his life. It is in this context that many challenges arise in the world of work and Human Resources Management itself, especially in the current scenario of high demand. More than a notion of balance, it intends a fusion, a perfect fit, between these two realities that, in fact, integrate only one: life. This is how we talk about the notion of work-life blend. This is, as we know, a problem increasingly in vogue, but are we really aware of what it really is? Will it really apply in practice? This was the motto that led to this investigation. In this way, that research sought to analyse the problematic of the work-life blend and the relationship with Human Resources Management, in order to provide answers to the following basic questions: "does professional life affect personal life? In what way?"; "Do you know the notion of work-life balance? And of work-life blend?" and finally, "Do you feel work-life blend fulfilled in your life? How?". Thus, based on a theoretical approach allied to a qualitative and exploratory methodology, through the focus group technique, we tried to analyze how the work-life blend acts and is perceived by the workers. In general terms, it was found that workers are increasingly aware of their role in organisations, of their demands, which are not watertight and have followed the evolution of time. For this same reason, the search for quality of life and complementarity between professional and personal life are part of the range of intentions of the workers targeted by the study. However, it is still clear that there is a long way to go in terms of the work-life blend, which is why the majority don‟t consider the work-life blend to be fulfilled in their lives. In summary, the results of the study allow us to conclude that this is a real problem, of common interest, which is increasingly on the agenda, especially given the current pandemic context.
