O mercado atual exige uma gestão das organizações cada vez mais eficiente nos seus processos internos, nomeadamente no processo de compras e na seleção dos fornecedores. Este processo, fundamental para a competitividade e sustentabilidade das empresas, envolve a análise de diversos critérios. Com o aumento da complexidade e a necessidade de decisões rápidas e assertivas, a utilização de softwares especializados tem vindo a revelar-se uma solução estratégica, permitindo uma avaliação mais precisa e objetiva dos fornecedores.
Neste contexto, surge o projeto desenvolvido com base numa empresa líder no setor aeronáutico, com foco no departamento de Procurement. O objetivo principal foi a aplicação do método PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations) para transformar significativamente o processo de seleção de fornecedores, proporcionando benefícios como o aumento da transparência e a melhoria na eficiência operacional.
A metodologia aplicada envolveu a definição de critérios de avaliação, a atribuição de pesos a esses critérios e a análise das alternativas com base nas informações disponíveis. Os resultados demonstraram que o uso do PROMETHEE não só proporcionou um ranking mais robusto e transparente das alternativas, como também minimizou os riscos e melhorou a qualidade da decisão em comparação com o processo tradicional.
Este trabalho evidencia a importância da utilização de métodos multicritério na seleção de fornecedores, não apenas para a indústria aeronáutica, mas também para outras áreas que necessitam de uma análise estruturada e objetiva para decisões estratégicas. Procurement, oferecendo uma base sólida para decisões futuras e sugerindo direções para a aplicação do método noutros contextos organizacionais.
Today's market demands that organizations manage their internal processes more and more efficiently, particularly in the purchasing process and the selection of suppliers. This process, which is fundamental to the competitiveness and sustainability of companies, involves analyzing various criteria. With the increase in complexity and the need for quick and assertive decisions, the use of specialized software has proved to be a strategic solution, allowing for a more precise and objective assessment of suppliers. In this context, the project was developed at a leading company in the aeronautics sector, focusing on the Procurement department. The main objective was to apply the PROMETHEE method to significantly transform the supplier selection process, providing benefits such as increased transparency and improved operational efficiency. The methodology applied involved defining evaluation criteria, assigning weights to these criteria and analyzing the alternatives based on the information available. The results showed that the use of PROMETHEE not only provided a more robust and transparent ranking of the alternatives, but also minimized the risks and improved the quality of the decision compared to the traditional process. This work highlights the importance of using multi-criteria methods in supplier selection, not only for the aeronautical industry, but also for other areas that need a structured and objective analysis for strategic decisions. The implementation of PROMETHEE contributes to the efficiency of the procurement process, providing a solid basis for future decisions and suggesting directions for applying the method in other organizational contexts.
