Nos dias de hoje, o mercado global é altamente competitivo, o que leva a que as organizações tenham necessidade de procurar métodos e ferramentas que os ajudem a alcançar a maior qualidade dos produtos, assim como eliminar desperdícios, de modo a entregarem os produtos no mínimo tempo possível e com os menores custos associados. Realizar um planeamento adequado e ter um controlo do mesmo torna-se fundamental para que haja um melhor controlo da produção, uma vez que é permitido prever atrasos, saber quais os itens e as quantidades dos mesmos que devem ser produzidos num dado período de tempo e promover o desenvolvimento de ações para que os prazos de entrega sejam cumpridos. De modo a ajudar a que os prazos de entrega sejam cumpridos e que a qualidade dos itens seja sempre garantida, utilizam-se ferramentas lean, uma vez que estas ferramentas fazem com que os processos se realizem da melhor forma possível, acabando por eliminar desperdícios e promovendo um aumento da eficiência dos processos. Neste projeto foram ser aplicadas ferramentas lean no processo do corte de uma empresa do setor aeronáutico, uma vez que com as ferramentas lean é possível diminuir tempos desnecessários e desperdícios associados ao processo de corte. A implementação destas mesmas ferramentas também se torna essencial quando associadas a armazéns. Numa segunda parte deste projeto irão ser estudados standards de armazenamento de materiais, de modo que o abastecimento da máquina de corte se realize de forma rápida e da maneira mais correta possível. Irão também ser estudados nestings que garantam a poupança de material e ainda formas de aumentar a eficiência da máquina de corte. A nível do planeamento irá realizar-se um reajustamento do planeamento à máquina de corte, otimizando setups, tempos de corte e tempos de espera. O standard work torna-se fundamental para reduzir variações existentes nos processos fazendo com que se implemente a melhor maneira de realizar os processos, eliminando desperdícios e erros.
Nowadays, the global market is highly competitive, which leads to the need for organizations to seek methods and tools that help them achieve the highest quality of products, as well as eliminate waste, in order to deliver products in the shortest possible time and with the lowest associated costs. Adequate planning and control are essential for better production control, since it allows to predict delays, to know which items and how many of them should be produced in a given period of time, and to promote the development of actions so that delivery deadlines are met. In order to help that the delivery deadlines are met and that the quality of the items is always guaranteed, lean tools are used, since these tools make the processes run in the best possible way, ultimately eliminating waste and promoting an increase in process efficiency. In this project lean tools were applied to the cutting process of an aeronautic company, since with lean tools it is possible to reduce unnecessary time and waste associated with the cutting process. The implementation of these same tools also becomes essential when associated with warehouses. In the second part of this project we will study storage standards for materials, so that the supply of the cutting machine can be done quickly and in the most correct way possible. Nestings that guarantee material savings will also be studied, as well as ways to increase the efficiency of the cutting machine. In terms of planning, the planning will be readjusted to the cutting machine, optimizing setups, cutting times, and waiting times.
